With a heavy heart and mixed emotions, we would like to announce that Handcrafted by Shirl will officially be closing doors on 30 November 2023. This decision, while not made lightly, stems from a combination of personal reasons and changing market conditions.
Our journey began in 2020 when we sought to create a sanitizer suitable for sensitive and eczema-prone skin. We invested months crafting a solution that was effective (being a germ-freak myself) while had skincare properties that would combat dryness (learn about our story from our previous blog post here).
However, personal obligations and the demands of running a small business have become increasingly challenging to balance, prompting us to prioritize our well-being and family life.
Market conditions within our industry have also evolved, introducing increasing competition and shifting consumer preferences. Maintaining the high standards and quality we've always strived for has become increasingly challenging.
We are deeply grateful for your unwavering support and trust throughout our business journey. As a token of our gratitude, our Goodbye Sale will run from 14 Oct – 30 Nov, offering a clearance sale of 50% on ALL remaining inventory.
